Marlak Niran Revegetation Project

Oral McGuire is a Ballardong Noongar landholder whose organisation - Yaraguia Enterprises Incorporated is managing the Avondale Park Property in the Beverley district.  Yaraguia have been revegetating the Avondale Park property since 2008 and have re-introduced traditional burning over the last 2 years (2013 & 2014).  These burns that have been conducted on the property have shown significant reductions in various invasive weed species - and contributed positively to the re-generation of native grasses and healthier soils on the property.  The Yaraguia vision for the Avondale Park property is to create a Noongar cultural sanctuary.
